I'm going to start a new tradition of including blog posts of "modules that I love!"

My first "module that I love" was one that I just came across this evening while doing some research for a small client of mine in the Las Vegas area. Her e-mail was as follows:

"Could you tell me how I can take a ton of emails from excel spreadsheet and put them in a distribution list so that I can blast a flyer about our grand opening"

These types of e-mails are always fun, BUT they're even more fun when you can find a quick solution. My first reaction was to jump on the web and do some research, but then I stopped myself and tried a search on drupal.org/project to see if anything would come up. So happens there is a 4 month-old module called Mailout that did exactly what my client needs! When I first read the e-mail I was thinking that there might be a paid solution out there that would meet their needs, but when I found a module that I could install on their site I was ecstatic.

Usually when I find a module in a situation like this I try not to set my expectation too high so that I don't get dissappointed. Let me just say that everything about this module is absolutely amazing. The guys at EmSpace really know what they're doing. If you're looking for a simple solution to send out e-mail blasts in Drupal then this is the module for you. With import/export capabilities, e-mail tracking, list management, and mail templates (and much more) this module can do it all. Check it out and report back!
